Climate Risk Assessments

Climate risk assessments are often required by regulators as part of applications for environmental permits. The Government provide a climate risk tool to assist with applications, but the inputs into the tools require detailed consideration.

The Climate Consultants can help quantify the input values for developments, calculating the emissions from basic process throughputs, following robust scientific methodologies.

TCC have experience of supporting a diverse range of developments and sizes, building on many decades of experience and a wide array of backgrounds.

For climate risk assessments to be robust they must consider all potential sources of emissions produced from the process for specific regulated greenhouse gases. TCC have experience of undertaking appropriate calculations for a wide range of applications.

The emissions feed into the climate risk assessment which in turn would be submitted to the regulator for review.

The Climate Consultants are able to prepare all required documentation for a permit application, submit applications, manage applications and deal with any issues raised by a regulator to ensure applications progress smoothly and are granted permits.

The Climate Consultants provide a client-focused approach, giving high-level advice throughout the process and discussing ways to help minimise GHG emissions.

Our team have been working with the regulators for many years and have been key stakeholders in several guidance updates. Our unique knowledge and understanding of the permitting system, means we can help clients navigate through the process in a clear and understandable way.
