The Climate Consultants (TCC), part of Kalaco, a specialist environmental consultancy service helping clients from all over the UK with climate change assessments, professional support for local authorities/government bodies and professional services to a range of industries.

    We provide assessments to support planning applications. These include: residential developments, manufacturing and industrial, automotive industry, aviation, commercial premises, breweries, landfill, anaerobic digestion (AD), and waste management,

Our team undertook the greenhouse gas emissions assessment for the proposed development at 30 Marsh Wall. The development includes student accommodation with flexible Class E use at the lower floors.

Our team carried out the greenhouse gas emissions and climate change assessments for the development at 4 Portal Way, Ealing, London. The development involved the demolition of all existing buildings and the construction of 669 residential units and a 90-bedroom hotel. The development was granted planning permission in the last quarter of 2024.

Our team prepared the climate change ES chapter for the redevelopment of Walnuts Shopping Centre. The development comprised 990 flats, retails use, a leisure centre and a day care centre.

Our team conducted a climate change assessment for the redevelopment of multiple retail and office buildings. The development entailed increasing the floorspace refurbishment the facilities as well providing landscaping improvements.

The team conducted a greenhouse gas assessment for the proposed facility at Angel House, Drum Industrial Estate, Durham. The facility included the erection of two natural gas generators to support the electrical power requirements of the local site. The assessment included a review of the GHG baseline and an impact assessment.

Our team conducted a Climate Change Adaptation Appraisal (unit Wst05) as part of the BREEAM accreditation for the proposed office development at Station Street, Portsmouth. This included utilising the Met Office’s UKCP18 dataset to predict the future climate in the local area, and liaising with the project team to understand how the development will be designed to adapt to the future climate.
